FAQ
Straight answers about abbySAT
What does abbySAT actually do each day?
It gives you three to five questions chosen from the skills you have been missing, plus any reviews that are due. That is the whole daily screen, and it usually takes about fifteen minutes.
Are the questions real SAT or ACT questions?
No. Every question is original and labelled as original practice. We do not copy College Board or ACT material, and official practice tests stay in Bluebook (SAT) or the ACT's own tools where they belong.
Do you do the ACT?
Yes — pick it at signup or switch in Settings. Your daily sets and practice tests change to the new test, and your XP, streak, friends and school stay.
What can my friends see?
Questions answered, hours logged, active days and your league rank. They cannot see your answers, your mistakes, your target score or your score history.
How is the leaderboard scored?
On questions you answered correctly on your first attempt with no hints. Time spent in the app earns nothing.
Does abbySAT predict my SAT or ACT score?
It does not. Your score only changes when you add a real official, PSAT or Bluebook result (or the equivalent for the ACT). The app shows a projected range as a clearly labelled estimate, and that range can go down as well as up.
What happens when I get a question wrong?
You get a second attempt and one hint at a time. The answer is not revealed straight away, and the skill is scheduled to come back in a few days.
Do I need to sit full practice tests?
Yes, and you should sit them in Bluebook. abbySAT adds short weekly timed mini-tests between them, with hints disabled.
Is there an app to download?
No. abbySAT runs in your browser on your phone or laptop, and you can add it to your home screen.
How do I sign in?
With Google. That means no extra password to remember and nothing for us to lose.
Is abbySAT really free?
Yes. abbySAT is free to use. Sign in with Google and start today.
Can my parent see my work?
Only if you connect a parent account. They get a weekly summary of completion and independence, not your individual answers.
Can I delete my account and data?
Yes. You can request deletion from your settings, and your practice history goes with it.
